Your mission
As a System Administrator IT at Operations Solutions, you will have a crucial role in ensuring the availability, stability, and management of critical IT-tools and applications. Your team owns tools such as PTC Creo & Windchill, AutoCAD, SolidWorks CAD & PDM, and Ansys and works closely with teams owning Product Lifecycle Management tool Teamcenter, all used by end-users in Epiroc.
In this role you’ll be a part of the CAD and Simulation team and perform preventive maintenance and contribute to process improvements. It is important to understand business requirements and enhance the quality of our systems. Your responsibilities will include technically focused duties such as configuring CAD and Simulation software, maintaining integrations, ownership of response time and performance of applications, and timely incident and problem resolution. You will work closely in a scrum team including a Product Owner to understand end user needs then translate those to requirements for management of software in the team’s portfolio. You will collaborate with various teams in the Operations Solutions department. You’ll also be in contact with our end users to understand their needs.
You will be installing, configuring, and updating software, as well as troubleshooting any technical issues that arise, and creatively improve established technical processes following the trends of the industry and the needs of our end users.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you have strong knowledge of IT systems in general as related to the tasks listed above and experience in CAD and Simulation applications and servers. An undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Network Systems, Computer Science, or similar relevant working experience is preferred. You are used to working within environments where end users depend on you for assistance and have expertise in troubleshooting and maintenance.
As a person you are service minded and always focused on ensuring a high-quality of system deliveries by identifying and reporting defects, identifying areas of improvement, and actively participating in the product development lifecycle.
In this role it is important to have effective communication skills and you see collaboration as a highlight of your working experience. You have skills in problem solving, you are structured and good in documentation. It is also important that you have a strategic way of thinking.
As our teams are international, you speak and write English fluently and you feel comfortable using it. Proficiency in Swedish is beneficial but not a requirement.
