Company name:  Epiroc Rock Drills AB

Are you ready?

Join us as we accelerate the transformation!

As a Global Technical Service Engineer within Surface, you will play a key role in ensuring that our advanced drilling solutions continue to deliver outstanding performance for customers worldwide.

If you are passionate about technology,  collaboration, and continuous learning, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

About us

Our Surface Technical Service team in Örebro works closely with Production and R&D, driving improvements across our product portfolio. You will join a diverse and highly skilled international team representing multiple nationalities, experience levels, and technical backgrounds. Collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professionalism define our way of working.

Your Mission

In this role, you will be a technical expert supporting our service technicians and customers around the world. You will work hands‑on with machines while also building deep theoretical knowledge of the systems and technologies behind them.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing global technical support for Surface drilling equipment and systems.
  • Conducting training sessions for service technicians and customers.
  • Acting as the “voice of the customer,” contributing to product development and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues on site and remotely.
  • Working with a wide range of technologies, including advanced electrical systems, automation, battery‑electric solutions, and autonomous features.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across Production, R&D, and Customer Centers.
  • Supporting internal projects when required, which may reduce travel during such periods.

This is a dynamic role with exposure to many machine systems. Over time, you will be trained to work broadly across models rather than being limited to a single product line.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you are a curious, communicative, humble and open‑minded professional with a strong interest in technology and learning. You enjoy solving complex technical problems and work well in high‑pressure situations. Professionalism, respect, and integrity in all customer interactions are essential.

We believe you have:

  • An engineering background in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or similar - or a qualified electrician’s education.
  • A genuine interest in technology and a strong drive to learn continuously.
  • Solid knowledge of English, Swedish or any other language is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cultures.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain composed under pressure.
  • Experience with drilling equipment is a strong advantage but not a requirement.

Personality matters: we value individuals who listen well, act professionally, treat others with respect, and uphold the highest standards in behavior.

Location and Other

This position is located in Örebro, Sweden and the role requires periods of extensive international travels. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.
