We are looking for a dedicated and collaborative Project Manager Sourcing to join the Strategic Sourcing organization within the Surface Division.

 

The position is based in Örebro (Eyra), where you will be part of a supportive team that truly cares about people and the planet. You will work alongside colleagues who are committed to driving the strategic sourcing transformation forward with a strong focus on sustainability, all while meeting short‑, mid‑ and long‑term objectives.

 

 

Your mission

The Project Manager Sourcing is responsible to represent Strategic Sourcing as a Sub-Project Manager or Case Holder in appointed Base Development-, New Product Development- and Continuous Product Improvement projects within the Surfacer Division. The Project Manager Sourcing is working in close cooperation with Supplier Development Engineering, Category Management, and key stakeholders with the mission to:

 

  • Secure all the Strategic Sourcing deliverables in Base Development- (BD) and New Product Development (NPD)
  • Drive and coordinate Product Lifecycle- and Case Holder activities related to assigned Continuous Product Improvement projects (CPI)
  • Safeguard Design For Manufacturing (DFM), Design For Assembly (DFA) and Design For Quality (DFQ) across all projects
  • Support the New Article List (NAL) activities while driving the Strategic Sourcing deliverables 
  • Ensure Compliance- and Sustainability requirements/objectives from a sourcing perspective in BD/NPD/CPI
  • Emphasizing progress tracking and governance through sourcing forums, project meetings and checklists
  • Explicit responsibility for supplier readiness, industrialization and production ramp-up
  • Close collaboration with R&D/Engineering to jointly develop and evaluate concepts, ensuring optimal technical, cost and supply chain solutions
  • Drive and coordinate PK (material cost) follow up and improvement initiatives with key stakeholders
  • Drive Should Costing in BD/NPD/CPI
  • Ensure Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) in BD/NPD/CPI

 

Your profile

Experience within Strategic Sourcing, project management, manufacturing, and a great level of overall business understanding between key stakeholders in manufacturing organizations.

 

A great level of overall business understanding including internal- and external stakeholder management. Any sustainability- and compliance management experience is an advantage.

 

University degree in engineering and/or business administration or similar proven experience, including project management. Fluent in written and spoken English.

 

A keen interest in working with project sourcing management, stakeholder- and sustainability management, and engineering combined with sourcing in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to build long-term relations and effective communication between internal and external stakeholders. 

 

 

Location and travel

This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel, both domestic and international.

 

There is no relocation package connected to this role.
