Regional Transportation Manager EMEA

We are looking for a Regional Transportation Manager EMEA to lead and develop our transportation operations across the EMEA region. Reporting to the EMEA Supply Chain General Manager, this senior manager role is accountable for both the regional transportation strategy and operational performance.
It is a dynamic role, ideal for someone motivated by the challenge of leading an international team optimizing numerous logistic flow solutions serving internal and external stakeholders across a highly diverse and complex region.

Your mission
As Regional Transportation Manager, you are responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable transportation across the EMEA region. You will set the regional transportation strategy and translate that into daily operations and measurable improvements in cost, service, sustainability and compliance.
You will lead a team of approximately eight colleagues in Sweden and three in Africa, and work closely with Trade Compliance and other supply chain functions to ensure smooth and compliant flows.
What you will do
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute regional transportation strategies aligned with group supply chain objectives.
- Ensure optimal daily transportation operations and performance in line with agreed service levels.
- Lead and develop the regional transportation team, providing clear direction, structure, and support in a matrixed, international setup.
- Using data analytics; dare to think new in challenging the status quo by identifying and delivering continuous improvements in transportation cost, service, and sustainability across the region.
- Manage relationships with carriers and logistics partners; including tenders, performance follow-ups and commercial discussions.
- Reporting and ownership of freight costs, budgets, and KPIs, using data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Secure compliance with legal requirements, trade regulations, company standards, and safety expectations.
- Collaborate closely with planning, customer service, distribution centers, sales, and other stakeholders to support business needs.
- Drive the implementation of digital ways of working, including the use of transportation management systems (TMS) and analytics tools.
Your profile
We believe you are an experienced transportation or supply chain professional with the ability to balance strategy, governance, and operational execution. You are comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and supporting others in a dynamic environment.
You are structured, pragmatic, and results-oriented, with a collaborative leadership style. You enjoy challenging the status quo, with a daring to think new solutions mindset that is motivated by creating optimal transportation flows that exceed expectations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of experience managing transportation in a complex environment, with responsibility for logistic solutions, tenders and reporting on freight cost, service levels, and carrier performance.
- Experience working with transportation networks across multiple countries and regions, involving different modes, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.
- Deep level understanding and experience in international logistic operations.
- Documented leadership experience, with the ability to coach, support, and develop a multi-national team.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and digital tools is an advantage.
Location and other
The position is based in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel will be required in the role.
