Join Us in Transforming the Future!

It all starts with people. People like you.

About Us

At Epiroc, innovation and collaboration are at the core of everything we do. Our vision is clear: to accelerate the transformation of mining towards a greener, safer and more sustainable industry. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art mobile machines and new challenges, moving towards higher degrees of automated solutions.

Your Mission

As a System Engineer, you are a key contributor in developing robust and scalable solutions. You elicit, develop, maintain, and document product and functional requirements, while acting as an architect for complex system interactions and interfaces.

Your main focus will be gathering operational and functional requirements for our growing portfolio of autonomous solutions for drill rigs. You define and maintain high‑level system requirements for both on‑board and off‑board functions, ensuring the functions are connected to customer values and aligned across the complete system solution.

You work with documentation from top level product requirements down to functional level. You specify and manage critical interfaces to enable modularity and collaboration across teams and technologies. You work with GUI specifications to ensure consistency across products and platforms, contribute to system architecture and design proposals, and analyze system‑level impacts of software and hardware updates.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate loves to connect customer value to requirements and solutions fulfilling this, and has a drive for documenting the „what“ on a functional and use case level. You're someone who communicates clearly and builds trust across different teams by actively listening, asking questions and seeing the full picture. You appreciate the details but know when to lift your eyes.

To enjoy this role, it's important to work in a structured way to meet deadlines. A mix of analytical thinking, practical problem-solving and attention to detail will let you deliver real value to our customers.

Other requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant engineering field or another strong engineering background.
  • Previous working experience from areas such as mechatronic systems, software based control systems, autonomous systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrain or control systems
  • Experience taking ideas from early concept to production
  • Experience from mobile machinery and knowledge from functional safety are strongly valued
  • Fluent English is required, and an understanding of Swedish is a plus

At Epiroc, we take pride in being passionate innovators, driving the change toward a brighter future for both people and the planet. Guided by our values of Collaboration, Commitment, and Innovation, we foster a culture of trust, growth, and lasting impact.
