Graduate Trainee - Automation & Digital Solutions

As a Trainee in Automation & Digital Solutions, you’ll support the deployment and optimization of Epiroc’s advanced digital mining systems, working alongside experienced engineers, engaging with customers, and contributing to innovation across Ghana’s mining operations.

Your Mission

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and regular maintenance of Epiroc’s automation systems, including remote control, monitoring infrastructure, and integrated digital platforms.
• Provide technical support both on-site at customer locations and remotely to ensure minimal downtime and high operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Conduct routine system checks, testing, and calibration under supervision to verify optimal functionality and compliance with best practices.
• Monitor system performance remotely to identify anomalies and predict maintenance needs, contributing to proactive service delivery.
• Work with customers’ technical teams to enhance equipment utilization through data analysis, targeted training, and recommended operational improvements.
• Document technical findings, incident reports, and service logs accurately to support continuous improvement efforts and knowledge sharing.
• Recognize, escalate, and communicate critical technical issues to senior technicians or global support teams promptly.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with mining digital technologies such as IoT, data analytics, and remote monitoring platforms
• Basic knowledge of mining equipment, digital solutions, and automation technologies is essential.
• Fundamental understanding of networking systems and their role in automation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, paired with a proactive, results‑driven mindset and the ability to work independently with accountability.
• Willingness to learn and grow through technical training, continuously developing expertise in automation and digital solutions.
