Join Our Team as a HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Epiroc!

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) supports the Customer Solutions Center (CSC) organization by partnering with leaders and employees to execute HR processes and people strategies aligned with business needs. This role reports to the HR Director and provides both strategic partnership and hands-on HR support. 

The HRBP plays a key role in driving organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement, while also supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices across the CSC organization. 

 

Work Type: This position is onsite at our Akron, OH with hybrid flexibility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Business Partnership & Organizational Support 

  • Partner with Customer Soltuions Center (CSC) leadership to support execution of business and people priorities. 
  • Provide guidance on performance management and team effectiveness.
  • Support leaders with day-to-day HR needs, including coaching and issue resolution.

 

Workforce Planning & Recruitment 

  • Support workforce planning activities, including headcount tracking, vacancy management, and hiring prioritization. 
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment for hourly and salaried roles.  

 

Employee Lifecycle & HR Administration 

  • Manage core HR processes including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding. 
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy within HR systems. 
  • Support HRIS transactions, reporting, and documentation. 
  • First point of contact for employees and managers with HR-related inquiries and processes  
 

Employee Relations & Engagement 

  • Support employee relations matters, ensuring consistent and fair application of policies.
  • Escalate complex issues as appropriate to HR leadership.
  • Support engagement initiatives (e.g., MyVoice, recognition).
 

HR Operations & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits, reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist in implementation and communication of HR policies and programs.

 

HR Metrics & Reporting 

  • Track and support reporting of key HR metrics (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, etc.).
  • Provide data and insights to support decision-making and workforce planning.
 

Knowledge/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience, including generalist or business partner responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting commercial, customer operations,  or manufacturing environments preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices  

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
