Area Service Manager in Thessaloniki Area (Northern Greece)
Epiroc is a world‑leading productivity partner for the mining, construction and natural resources industries. We are now looking for an experienced Area Service Manager to strengthen our Parts & Services Division and support our strategic growth in Greece, Cyprus and Israel.
About the role
As our Area Service Manager, you will implement and drive the PSD business plan across the region with a strong focus on high‑quality on‑site service, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth. A key part of the role is leading our service and spare parts teams, supporting major mining projects—including cooperation with Hellas Gold—and promoting Service Agreements across the region.
This position reports to the Country Manager and is primarily based in the wider Thessaloniki area, ensuring proximity to key customers and operations.
What you will do
- Lead and develop the service and customer care teams, ensuring a culture of professionalism, inclusion, psychological safety and continuous improvement.
- Drive profitable growth in service operations and increase market share for consumables, parts and after‑sales services.
- Conduct regular team meetings, one‑to‑ones, and performance & development discussions.
- Ensure timely response to customers, manage complaints, and maintain strong customer relationships through regular onsite visits.
- Oversee service quality, warranties, service agreements, fleet mapping and all related KPIs.
- Provide monthly reporting on WIP, service orders, stock levels, H&S issues and red flags to the Business Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Epiroc’s Code of Conduct, SHEQ requirements, and proper use of company assets.
- Cooperate closely with Business Manager, Business Controller, regional SCX team and external service providers.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new colleagues.
- Use digital service tools (e.g., Synchroteam) for planning, execution and reporting.
What you bring
Experience
- Background in service, technical and business roles.
- Experience in mining, construction, or related industries.
- Proven experience leading service teams.
- Commercial and organizational skills.
Knowledge
- Solid technical understanding (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
- Advanced sales and technical capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Good command of English (spoken & written).
Education
- Technical degree (preferably mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience.
