Epiroc Hellas recruits a Field Service Technician (M/F)

for Mining & Rock Excavation Equipment (Surface & Underground)

We are looking for a dynamic Field Service Technician for Parts & Service Division to be based in Northern Greece.

The successful candidate will join EPIROC HELLAS S.A. and our South East - North Africa team, supporting Service Operations for Greece, Cyprus and Israel.

He/She will be responsible to provide hands on services on Mining & Rock Excavation Equipment (Surface & Underground) over the Greek and Cypriot Markets mainly.

Position description:

Mission of the role will be to provide professional and on the job support to all EPIROC customers on all types of Mining & Rock Excavation equipment.

Be the customer’s point of contact for expert technical support and advice in respect to breakdowns, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and spare parts. Execute training programs during Commissioning and Start Up of new rigs (both practical on the job and classroom training when needed to customers).

Main missions:

• Support customers with expert advice, hands on job to provide prompt support, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, on all EPIROC products either in-house or at the customer’s site, as required.
• Support sales of spare parts, for Parts & Service Division. Provide the necessary technical advice and solutions to the customers.
• Strictly follow the provisions included in the Rules of Internal Procedure, and the norms in force referring to Health and Safety at Work. To comply with all measures for environmental protection.

Experience & required competences

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in maintenance/service of heavy industrial equipment, particular experience within the mining industry will be an asset.
• Higher Technical education or a Technical School degree is needed. Additional knowledge/certifications in electrical and hydraulics systems will be an asset.
• Good command of Greek and English (should be able to read all technical manuals in English and be able to hold a fair written and spoken communication in English).
• Knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Clean driving license.
• Should have the drive to learn new things and ability to solve problems in a timely and professional manner.
• Strong customer orientation, with good interpersonal skills and ability to create good contacts at all levels.
• Must be self-driven, self-organized, with high level of ownership and highly motivated for results achievement.
• Able to travel on a national or international level, on a frequent basis if required, to provide product support but also for his/hers’ educational and development activities.

Country and city description

Contractually linked to Epiroc Hellas head office in Koropi (next to Athens), we are looking for 2 resources: 1 located next to Athens area and 1 in Northern Greece.

Both technicians will perform permanent travels accross Greece and punctual travels in other areas and abroad.
