MINING EQUIPMENTS AND CONSUMABLES
Mission
The sales engineer is in charge of Mining and Rock Excavation products and consumables sales development (drill rigs, underground loaders, surface drill rigs, rock-drilling tools…) for the Greek national territory.
He/she develops the market share of the product lines he / she is responsible for, in line with the strategy and the targets defined by the Business Manager, by developing excellent business relationships with customers and dealers.
Basic Responsibilities and Objectives
Definition and identification of commercial targets:
• Identify, in compliance with the defined sales policy, potential customers and key contacts,
• Establish a competitive watch on his/her geographical area and propose a sales strategy adapted to his/her territory,
• Define, in agreement with his/her hierarchy, the means to implement to make his/her commercial approach effective (phone prospection, sending of commercial documentation, mailings…),
• Work in pairs with field technicians in his/her territory in order to identify potential needs and track customer satisfaction,
Commercial prospection and animation of the sales network:
• Animate / develop existing customers in his/her territory and prospect potential customers.
• Identify the decision-making circuits within the targeted companies.
• Promote products by showing their technical characteristics, their specific properties and their advantage compared to competition.
• Recommend the most suitable equipment according to customer needs and specific applications.
• Solve technical and commercial difficulties with the customers in order to maintain very close contacts.
• Establish commercial offers, carry out the commercial follow up of these offers, the reminders and the negotiation and structure the financing.
• Promote after sales products and maintenance contracts.
• Manage customer ligation and unpaid bills.
• Monitor, develop and animate the distribution networks.
• Complex projects handling (tender phase, quote build up and follow up).
Internal Communication:
• Communicate information internally to the management on improvements to be done on Epiroc products and service,
• Inform other sales members on potential needs identified on their product lines and or territories,
• Carry out the visit reports at the required intervals by using the Group / Management recommended tools,
Training & Development:
• Be responsible of improving your specific knowledge set related to products range and sales/marketing skills. Actively follow specific educational or training actions or activities organized by the company or group, (E-Learning is also included). Report your progress in the Absence Database. Review your progress with your manager periodically.
• Provide training, coaching and support new recruits or any colleague who is assigned by your manager.

• Provide follow up and monthly report to Direct Manager or specific reports when requested.
• Follow up the proper procedures for QHSE with the support of ISO coordinators.
• Be aware and take all precautions to avoid accidents or incidents. Respect local legislation at all times.
Experience Requirements
• Minimum experience of 2-5 years in B2B technical sales or in Marketing related roles in the Mining or Construction field of activity.
• Experience in customer management, pricing negotiations, added value cycle will be appreciated.
• Marketing knowledge are necessary (analysis, territory management…)
• Technical knowledge of Mining, Earth moving equipment, Geology, Open Pit projects will be appreciates.
• The position requires a valid driving license.
Knowledge
• Excellent command of the local language and good command of English is a must.
• Good computer Knowledge is a must.
Educational Requirements
• Technical University degree (Mining Engineering - Mineral Resources-Civil Engineering Degree Discipline).
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Sales, Business or Marketing is a plus.
