This position is on-site, with an expected work schedule of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. This position requires local travel up to 90% of the time. Overtime is expected at 50-60 hours per week total. Some overnight trips are expected.

Mission:
At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training.
Field Service Technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. They provide timely service support for technical problems, conduct monitoring and testing, and lead product demonstrations to showcase our product capabilities. By troubleshooting, repairing, and installing parts, they minimize downtime, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity, thereby significantly contributing to customer satisfaction and the success of our products.
The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Noise protection is required in this role. Field Service Technicians are occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in the form of troubleshooting either by phone or on site, focusing on accurate and detailed problem-solving.
- Supply parts information in the form of suggested stocking guides, ensuring precision and consistency.
- Provide warranty support; evaluating and validating claims, discussing issues with the Product Company, and submitting service reports to support claims with meticulous attention to detail.
- Lead training for distributors and customers on all relevant features and benefits of using our products, including the creation of customized courses per the customer’s needs, promoting structured and disciplined training methods.
- Primary training contact on equipment operation and proper use of consumables, such as rock drilling tools, ground reinforcement products, installation, and grinding equipment, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Set up and monitoring of new or improved components testing, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation and analysis.
- Communicate service and other relevant activities to Customer and Service Manager through daily service reports or relevant forms, email, and telephone communication, ensuring clear and professional interactions.
Requirements:
- The successful employee should have a minimum of a Certificate of Completion from a Technical or Trade School, three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or agree to complete the training program(s) needed to acquire the Training Certificates.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license; a good driving record is required.
- If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, you must be able to pass all requirements necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for Department of Transportation (DOT) purposes; Employees must be at least 18 years of age to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) within state lines (intrastate) only; Drivers must be at least 21 years old to drive commercial vehicles across state lines (interstate).
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and good work ethic, focusing on task-oriented, high-quality performance.
- Physical readiness for job demands, including the ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Provide and update a tool list quarterly to ensure compliance with company calibration and tool replacement property.
- Exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor in all communications with customers and internal staff.
- Travel is required in this position.
