Drill Technician

Main Accountabilities:
- Maintenance and Repair
- Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure equipment / system is in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy machinery.
- Conduct quality checks post-repair to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
- Equipment Inspections
- Conduct regular inspections on heavy equipment to detect wear, damage, or other issues.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment conditions and report any significant findings.
- Recommend necessary repairs or replacement of parts based on inspection outcomes either for direct action or backlog
- Documentation and Reporting
- Perform pre-start inspection prior conduct an activity, (e.g., light vehicle, tools, machine, facility, etc), completion of SHEQ documents during maintenance practice (Procedure, Safe Check, JHA, etc.), manage documents archive as evidence and register in database.
- Keep thorough records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts replacements.
- Document all diagnostic findings and submit accurate reports to supervisors.
- Update maintenance logs and track equipment usage for accurate service scheduling.
- Complete the time sheet and leave (annual leave, field break, sick leave, etc.) in Absence Database system before process Payroll.
- Inventory and Parts Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools needed for maintenance and repair work.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to order necessary parts and avoid downtime.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tools and parts to maintain their functionality.
- Technical Support and Training
- Provide technical support and guidance to equipment operators regarding proper usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new repair techniques and equipment technology.
- Share best practices with team members to improve efficiency and equipment reliability.
Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in mining, heavy equipment, or related industries. An electrical background will be considered an advantage.
- Service Level1 (SL1) Technician
- Machines and Engines: Understand how parts like engines, brakes, and hydraulic systems work on heavy machines.
- Electric and Hydraulic Systems: Know how the electrical and hydraulic parts work and how to fix them.
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Know how to use tools to find and fix problems, and how to read related heavy equipment's' diagrams and manuals.
- Safety Standards: Understand safety rules and know how to handle equipment safely in a mining environment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Know how to regularly check and maintain equipment to keep it running well.
- Repair Skills: Able to use tools to fix mechanical and electrical parts of heavy equipment.
- Diagnostic Skills: Good at using testing tools and finding the cause of problems.
- Basic Operation Knowledge: Know enough about how machines work to safely test them after repairs.
- Record-Keeping: Can keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance work.
- Attention to Detail: Careful and precise, to spot issues early and make accurate repairs.
- Time Management: Good at working quickly and prioritizing tasks to keep equipment downtime low.
- Computer skills include the ability to operate Microsoft office application (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa and English, both written and oral communication.
- Able to drive light vehicle (car) and has driving license.
