About the Role

As a Design Engineer based in Bengaluru, you will play a critical role in the development lifecycle of heavy machinery products. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers to conceptualize, design, and validate mechanical components and assemblies. Precision and innovation will be at the forefront as you take charge of preparing detailed 2D drawings and advanced 3D models using Creo 9, supported by robust engineering calculations and validations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Collecting and analyzing input data, clarifications, and requirements to inform design concepts.
• Applying sound engineering principles to create designs that meet functionality, manufacturability, and safety standards.
• Performing rigorous design validations and self-reviewing your work before internal and customer reviews.
• Engaging actively with internal project teams and customers to address queries and incorporate feedback.
• Adhering to company policies, industry standards, design procedures, and project management commitments.
• Contributing innovative suggestions to improve product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensuring high-quality deliverables through precision in tolerance analysis, GD&T, and finish specifications.
• Utilizing advanced PLM tools such as Teamcenter for streamlined product data management and release processes.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute, with a minimum of 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA. You bring 1 to 3 years of experience in engineering product development within heavy engineering sectors, complemented by a solid foundation in manufacturing processes, structural design, and hydraulics.

Your technical competencies include:

• Proficient use of Creo 9 and familiarity with PLM tools like Teamcenter.
• Strong knowledge of mechanism design, engineering materials, and validation techniques.
• Understanding of GD&T principles, tolerance analysis, and finish specifications.
• Experience in new product development and product maintenance cycles.
