As a PLM System Admin, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions to meet the evolving needs of our worldwide stakeholders.
About the Role
This position involves comprehensive ownership of the Teamcenter PLM platform. You will ensure that the system runs reliably, securely, and efficiently, while also developing and customizing Teamcenter to align with specific business requirements. The role demands a balance of platform administration and hands-on development, allowing you to actively shape and sustain our PLM environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Teamcenter PLM platform, guaranteeing high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system health, security, and performance metrics; proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues before they impact users.
- Plan, execute, and manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations collaborating closely with IT and engineering teams.
- Support and guide end-users by resolving technical problems and continuously improving system usability and reliability.
- Assist in deploying new features, conducting system testing, and automating processes within the PLM ecosystem.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Design, develop, and unit-test custom Teamcenter solutions using BMIDE, ITK, SOA, and Active Workspace Client (AWC), translating functional specifications into effective technical implementations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process optimizations and innovative solutions within the PLM development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain proofs of concept (POCs) and demos to evaluate new capabilities and demonstrate feasibility to business stakeholders.
- Promptly address and rectify defects identified by testing teams or in production, ensuring comprehensive documentation is maintained ahead of release milestones.
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience
- 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Teamcenter administration and development.
- Strong expertise with critical Teamcenter modules including BOM Management (EBOM, MBOM, Process BOM), Change Management, Manufacturing Process Planner, Workflow Designer, Dispatcher, and Transfer Modes.
- In-depth knowledge of the Teamcenter data model (BMIDE) and deployment methodologies.
- Proficiency in Teamcenter customization leveraging ITK and SOA frameworks, with solid programming skills in C/C++.
- Experience scripting in one or more languages such as JavaScript, SQL, Perl, Batch, XML/XSLT, PowerShell, or Python.
- Comfortable working within Windows Server environments and SQL database management.
- Familiarity and practical experience working in agile settings using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities paired with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Swedish is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Full-time position within the Corporate Units business area, specifically in the PLM-Manufacturing department under the IT job area.
