Mission of the Role:
The mission of the Product Cybersecurity Manager is to ensure that product cybersecurity within the division is effectively governed, consistently executed, and continuously improved throughout the entire product lifecycle, including regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and IEC 62443.
The role translates Epiroc’s cybersecurity strategy and policies into practical implementation within development projects, while building long-term capability to address evolving cybersecurity threats and regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
The Product Cybersecurity Manager operates at both strategic and operational levels, acting as the division’s focal point for product cybersecurity. The role provides leadership, coordination, and expert guidance to development teams, ensuring that cybersecurity risks are identified, assessed, and managed, and that the organization is prepared to handle product-related cybersecurity incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, develop, and continuously improve the Product Cybersecurity Management System for the division
- Act as the division’s focal point and authority for product cybersecurity
- Chair the division’s cybersecurity team and coordinate activities across engineering, projects, and management
- “Ensure cybersecurity is integrated across the full product lifecycle (development, release, maintenance, and decommissioning)”
- Oversee and follow up cybersecurity activities in product development projects
- Support and coach teams in threat modeling, risk assessments, and secure design practices
- Review product designs, test reports, and cybersecurity documentation
- Lead the division’s Product Incident Response Team and ensure incident preparedness
- Define and execute cybersecurity training and awareness programs
- Align division-level cybersecurity practices with Epiroc group-level standards and forums
Note : This is an individual contributor role with functional leadership responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 14+ years of relevant experience
- Education in computer science, information science, IT, other similar branches.
- Strong experience in product or embedded cybersecurity within industrial or regulated environments
- Solid understanding of secure product development lifecycle concepts
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and cybersecurity requirements management
- Ability to translate policies and standards into practical engineering execution
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working across engineering, product management, and leadership teams
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of IEC 62443 standards
- Experience with connected products, industrial IoT, or automation systems
- Exposure to cybersecurity incidents handling for products
- Experience working in global or matrix organizations
