Production Preparation Engineer
Job Description:
- This position requires a professional engineer who can be an integral part of building team, supporting the Production Preparation team. The main responsibilities include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Study and understand the changes in change notifications.
- Implement the engineering changes in ERP system.
- Acknowledge and approve the change notifications.
- Identify and create the purchase levels.
- Updating the structures as per the change notifications in the ERP system.
- Create change notifications with purchase level articles in Supplier Collaboration Portal (SCP).
- Update documentation in SCP.
- Proactively inform suppliers and all stakeholders on new releases and engineering updates.
- Respond in a timely manner to urgent sourcing and supplier requests.
- To carry out all assigned tasks as necessary to achieve desired results and meet departmental goals.
- Create and update different types of custom Kit solutions in ERP system.
- Provide regular status updates to Project leader / Team Manager
Knowledge and Experience:
- At least 3-5 Years experience in M3 / ERP handling supplier module and well versed with different mashups.
- At least 1-2 Years’ experience in any PLM software.
- Experience in handling and maintaining master data.
- Experience from relevant industry application – e.g., Mining Equipment / Automotive, or other relevant application preferred.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to create solutions.
Education:
- BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering / equivalent
