Project Engineer - Mechanical Design

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer - Mechanical with demonstrated expertise in mechanical design to join our EES Ventilation team. The successful candidate will contribute to new product development, ensure adherence to international standards, and support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

 

  • Generate concepts, perform engineering calculations and make a detailed design,
  • Design mechanical layouts for electrical panels/components, including mounting arrangements, enclosure sizing, and thermal management.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
  • Understanding of the ventilation product and working principle.
  • Developing a silencer, frame, or housing to minimize noise and vibration in ventilation systems.
  • Localization of key components such as ducts, motors, etc.
  • Proficient in applying ISO GPS standards in drawings.
  • Understand the requirement and plan the work accordingly, ensuring on-time delivery with maximum quality and optimized efficiency.
  • Ensure execution of tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures and delivery of defect-free output.
  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), mechanical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with the stakeholders.
  • Bring in synergy to the team by sharing and learning.
  • Provide support to production and fabrication teams during prototype builds and manufacturing.

 

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Mechanical Design related to structural design, enclosures and Installation.
  • Good at Mechanical engineering basics.
  • Knowledge in creating weldments and assembly drawings.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

 

Knowledge Requirement:

  • Proficiency in Creo software.
  • Experience in PLM tools like Teamcenter and Windchill.
  • Knowledge of Noise and vibration.
  • Knowledge of ISO GPS, GD&T principles and Tolerance stack up analysis.
  • Understanding of electrical components and layout, thermal management, and mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in design calculations.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and experience of applying that to design.
  • Knowledge of wire routing, harness design, and electromagnetic shielding.
  • Exposure to design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Experience working in an ISO-certified environment.
