Position Title : Project Leader - System Engineering
Location : Bangalore
Roles & Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for handling the systems engineering activities, Simulation and modelling for the electrical control systems, Battery pack, Electric drive train, Hydraulics and thermal simulations with following responsibilities.
• Co-ordinate with cross functional teams to understand the specific requirement and create the function specifications
• Develop the simulation models for the specific functions and demonstrate the Simulation and results using MATLab
• Create procedure for Function Verification and Validation
• Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking
• Develop and lead key internal relationships on critical component areas with cross functional teams Electrical/Controls/Hydraulics/Power-train/Software
• Co-ordinate for product upgrade initiated by options phased in, electric-hydraulic control system, integration with digitalization and Automation.
• Write testing protocol for new developed systems and support on function test and field test.
• Be familiar with the hazards and control measures of your own station and the working environment, and strictly implement them.
• Drive new platform developments for systems, ensuring alignment with Epiroc's standards.
• Collaborates with other experts to achieve high-quality outputs within the framework of the organization's rules, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Lead project teams in the development, testing, and deployment of control systems.
• Deals with work processes, optimization methodologies, and risk management tools in assigned projects to ensure effective completion following stakeholder needs.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Reporting to the Business Line Manager in a timely and efficient manner
• Complying to company policies and follow company values and business code of practice.
* Competences, skills and experience :
Education: Masters or bachelor's in electrical engineering or equivalent from a reputed institute
Experience :
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in System Engineering and Simulation
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical control systems, Hydraulics, Thermals and Power train for the Mining/Construction equipment's.
• Modelling and Simulation of Electrical control/power circuits using MATLab
• Experience of diesel engine control and Battery Electric Vehicle controls Simulation and testing
• To be able to prepare function specification and test methods
• Knowledge of relevant national and international regulations and standards regarding electrics and mining equipment.
• Experience and knowledge in industrial machinery preferably in mining.
• Strong sense of customer focus, positive innovation around customer needs and clear execution to target.
• Willing to travel to rough working conditions such as mines and construction sites.
• Knowledge in hydraulic system and drive trains.
