Position : Project Lead - Powertrain
Team/Division : URE, EITC
Country, Location : India, Nashik
Job Description
•Powertrain system design & integration for Underground Mining Equipment Loaders, trucks.
•Powertrain components selection and its integration [Engine, transmission, Shafts, Axle, Tyre]
•Analysing the existing Design and recommend improvements in terms of cost/ energy efficiency without affecting basic performance requirements.
•Perform theoretical calculations to determine the vehicle performance requirement
•Perform research on technology to develop new products.
•Perform risk assessment during design phase and inspect the same during proto
•Vehicle integration and packaging for the drivetrain components and system
•Work on PDM / PLM systems associated with engineering release processes
•Value addition and suggestions for improvements as applicable
•Following the design procedures, instructions and standards like ISO, DIN etc..
•Onsite support during proto development and testing
Project Management:
o Receiving and studying the job
oPlanning and tracking
oAnalysing the customer feedback
•Reporting to Team Manager in a timely and efficient manner
•Complying to company policies and follow company values and business code of practice
Mission
To provide value added design services based on the project or task assigned to him\her including component\sub-system design, BOM changes\ECNs and managing projects ensuring quality, on time delivery in full and efficiency with an objective of achieving customer satisfaction according to the set procedures and guidelines as applicable complying to all the required company policies and values
Experience Requirements:
•12-16 yrs. of experience – Mining / Earth moving equipment /off road vehicles preferably on Powertrain system Design Specifically Diesel machines.
Education:
•BE/ME – Mechanical/Automobile Engineering
Tool knowledge:
•Hands on Experience in Creo.
•Experience working on PLM system (Teamcenter)
Knowledge Requirement:
•Good knowledge on Diesel Powertrain designs & EV
•Hands on experience with MATLAB & simulation activities is added advantage
•Basic knowledge in Hydraulics and Structural design
•Good knowledge of Engineering materials.
•Have Knowledge / exposure to Trouble shooting and testing.
•Knowledge of design standards
•Vehicle Mechanics & Integration.
•Modelling and detailing.
•Preparation & release of BOM and Engineering change management.
•Basic project management knowledge.
