Job Description:

 

We are now looking for an experienced and qualified candidate with the main mission to work as Project Manager - Trade Compliance

 

Your main responsibilities in this role will be:

 

  • Lead the project to secure BIS licenses for imported equipment and spare parts.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, lab partners, customs to ensure timely and accurate completion of certification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant BIS standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for BIS certification
  • Visiting BIS Indian Customs, presenting Epiroc's case and addressing their queries as needed
  • Collaborate with CC India, Products companies to identify the BIS requirements 
  • Understand the functioning and classification of different imported and manufactured products.
  • Conduct a detailed analysis to determine the applicability of QCO to various products.
  • Identify and document the specific licensing requirements based on product standards and specification.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan to obtain the necessary BIS licenses for all impacted parts and equipment.
  • Analyse licensing requirements based on specific conditions under the standard/product manual.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sourcing House (GSH) team and other sourcing entities across Epiroc to gather relevant details, organizational structure, etc., from manufacturing suppliers.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, external consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the certification process.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with the requirement of obtaining licenses for their manufacturing units under the BIS Act and connected Rules and Regulations.
  • Manage the filing of applications for such licenses before the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
  • Following and ensuring compliance to Epiroc Code of Conduct, policies and values

 

 

Competences Skills and Experience :

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering with 10+ years are experience 
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a regulatory or trade compliance or certification environment.
  • Experience in the engineering industry with understanding of products and applications.
  • Strong understanding of BIS certification processes and requirements.
  • Knowledge of relevant BIS standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with external consultants and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
