Job description / Mission

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrical engineer to work with the Surface and Exploration drilling equipment. Senior Project Engineer will work with a wide range of SRD products. Contribute to technical development focusing on application and product knowledge

• Co-ordinate with Epiroc Product companies related to electrical design.
• Prepare concept, design proposals related to Electrical projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to arrive at good solution thereby building required competence and technical solutions.
• Develop schematics and detailed drawings.
• Perform electrical load calculations.
• Selection of electrical components related to mining equipment’s, battery systems, alternators and sensors.
• Familiarity with low voltage design and analysis.
• Selection & Integration of aggregates onto vehicle/machine. Evaluates, defines and resolves design and manufacturing problems.
• Understand various standards relevant to NEMA/IEC/UL standards
• Ensure timely completion of projects, meeting expectations on Quality & Specifications.
• Work with software engineers to design and debug systems as needed.
• Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with Engineering release processes & systems.
• Preparation & release of BOM and Engineering change management
• Ensure execution of tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures and defect free output on-time.
• Estimate and maintain project documents as per ISO procedures & Support team in upgrading all the internal processes on continuous basis.
• Complying to company policies and following company values and business code of practice

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8-12 Years of experience, preferably work experience with heavy engineering products or mining products.
• Good knowledge of system Engineering and integration
• In depth knowledge of Vehicle Electricals/Aggregates selection
• Good working knowledge on mining products or related products.
• Working knowledge on automotive Electronics (12V/24V DC system)
• Proficiency in component selection, sizing cables and routing.
• Knowledge of engine peripherals like alternator and panel designs.
• Engineering change management.
• Hands on Experience in A-cad electrical, Pro-cabling, Team center
• Familiarity with IEC standard
• Knowledge of EMI & EMC standards related to Mining equipment
• Hands on experience on general trouble shooting for electrical faults, design/updating hardware
• Vehicle Mechanics & Integration.
• Experience in a range of technologies including digital, analogue and power electronics
• Knowledge of Signal integrity and power integrity will be added advantage
• Experience with PCB layout design will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of CAN based systems and controllers.
• PLC programming will be added advantage

Knowledge / Educational requirements

• BE / B-Tech – Electrical & Electronics engineering from reputed institutions.
