About the Role
As a Senior Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and executing validation and verification strategies that guarantee release-ready, high-quality software for advanced SDV platforms. Your expertise will directly influence the performance and dependability of cutting-edge autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust software validation and verification strategies tailored for SDV platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational quality benchmarks.
- Design, create, and maintain automated test frameworks and comprehensive regression test suites that cover a wide range of testing dimensions, including functional, integration, performance, and system testing.
- Validate critical software components such as middleware, applications, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and platform services to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.
- Analyze software defects thoroughly, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional development teams to drive timely resolutions.
- Establish and optimize test automation pipelines within continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments to promote continuous quality monitoring and rapid feedback cycles.
- Support and coordinate vehicle-level testing and deployment validation activities, ensuring that software meets real-world operational demands and safety requirements.
- Prepare detailed validation reports and quality metrics that inform release decisions, contributing to transparent and data-driven quality assurance processes.
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software validation, testing, or quality engineering within complex technical environments.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality processes, and best practices that ensure high reliability and robustness.
- Proven experience with Python-based test automation frameworks, enabling efficient creation and execution of automated tests.
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems and debugging tools, facilitating effective testing and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience working in CI/CD environments and familiarity with test automation pipeline integration.
- Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, and Ethernet, essential for testing in automotive system contexts.
- Analytical skills to interpret software logs, analyze performance metrics, and diagnose integration issues to uphold system integrity.
