Role Overview

As a Start-up Technology Integration Lead, you will play a critical role in scouting, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies that can accelerate Epiroc’s product portfolio forward. This role requires a highly qualified engineer with a strong background in product development, machine design, or a related engineering discipline. You will analyse potential technologies. assess their readiness and fit within the broader market and company strategy and recommend actionable paths to enhance customer value and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technology scouting initiatives to identify innovative solutions to accelerate innovation and speed to market.

• Assess and integrate start-up and emerging technologies by liaising with internal stakeholders globally and external partners.

• Evaluate start-up technologies based on technology readiness, business potential, speed to market and strategic relevance.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally to ensure holistic decision-making.
• Prepare clear, objective, and well-structured reports and presentations to communicate findings, opportunities, and recommendations effectively.
• Manage projects related to technology trials, integration planning, and implementation strategies, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• MSc or higher academic degree (PhD preferred) in Engineering or a closely related field. 5+ years of experience in relevant job role.
• Proven track record in product development, advanced machine design, or equivalent engineering roles with a highly analytical approach.
• Experience working with products designed for mobile applications operating under demanding environmental conditions is advantageous.
• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle complex technology evaluation projects from inception to execution.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with ease in articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to write concise, accurate internal reports documenting technology scouting and project progress.
• Driven by curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and finding optimized solutions within industrial research contexts.
• Organized, methodical thinker with a keen sense for balancing technical trade-offs to reach cost-effective and practical solutions.
