Our commitment to technical excellence and scalable, future-ready software platforms offers a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about shaping the future of vehicle software technologies.

Mission

Enable secure, scalable, and future-ready SDV software platforms through technical leadership and domain expertise, ensuring excellence in software deployment and vehicle diagnostics solutions.

Role Overview

As a Subject Matter Expert in SDV, you will be the technical cornerstone for software update and diagnostics solutions. Your expertise will be critical in defining architectures for Over the Air (OTA) and Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) deployments, managing software lifecycles, and maintaining robust vehicle software systems. You will lead the integration of communication protocols and frameworks, and oversee best practices in software packaging, deployment orchestration, and rollback strategies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert and primary point of reference for SDV software update and diagnostics systems.
  • Define, design, and lead OTA/FOTA deployment architectures ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient software lifecycle management.
  • Drive integration efforts involving diagnostics protocols such as UDS (ISO 14229), DoIP (ISO 13400), and vehicle communication protocols including CAN, CAN-FD, J1939, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, MQTT, and Zenoh.
  • Establish and promote best practices for software packaging, deployment, rollback mechanisms, and update orchestration within embedded Linux environments.
  • Lead containerized application deployment initiatives leveraging Docker for distributed software services on embedded platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across software development, middleware, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, validation, and platform engineering to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Define and enforce software update security standards, ensuring robust authentication, encryption, and compliance with industry protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to empower and elevate engineering teams.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in SDV and contribute insights to the technical roadmap and strategic planning.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting activities to resolve complex software and system challenges effectively.

Required Competences, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development, automotive software systems, or connected vehicle technologies.
  • Deep expertise in OTA/FOTA architectures and software deployment methodologies in automotive environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic protocols (UDS, DoIP) and experience with vehicle communication standards (CAN, CAN-FD, J1939, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, MQTT, Zenoh).
  • Strong background in Linux-based embedded platform development and system-level software engineering.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker, including deploying and managing distributed software services in embedded systems.
  • Sound understanding of Software Defined Vehicle architectures and service-oriented communication models, focusing on scalability and security.
  • Demonstrated skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and performing root-cause analyses within complex software and hardware ecosystems.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments, promoting collaboration, iterative improvement, and timely delivery.

Desired Behaviors and Attributes

  • Acts as a trusted and approachable technical expert, inspiring confidence and facilitating informed decisions across teams.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and across organizational boundaries.
  • Proactive problem solver, actively identifying technical risks and implementing scalable, secure solutions to complex challenges.
  • Committed mentor and knowledge-sharer, fostering continuous learning and professional growth within engineering groups.
  • Adaptable and forward-thinking, staying abreast of industry developments and integrating innovative ideas into practices.
