This role is to act as a business partner between Operations, Production and Finance. The role assists in preparation of financials including review and analysis of results as well as providing general financial support and value adding customer service to the division. The role will be focused on the Schramm business units based in Perth, with specific focus on production and cost control, in-house capex build projects and inventory management.
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance analysis, cost tracking, and profitability assessments.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
• Provide detailed cost analysis for raw materials, labor, and overhead to support cost reduction initiatives.
• Monitor factory operational expenses and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.Financial Reporting
• Support the process of preparation and final reporting for end of month, quarterly and year end closing.
• Work and assist RCOE Manila team for Balance sheet reconciliation and monthly BAS preparation.
• Work and assist RCOE Manila team for intercompany reconciliation.
• Work and assist RCOE Manila team for daily and ad hoc tasks.Cost Accounting & Control
• Implement and maintain standard costing processes, ensuring accuracy in product costing.
• Support inventory valuation, including work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods reconciliation.
• Conduct regular cost audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and industry best practices.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to manage and control production costs.Manufacturing & Operational Support
• Analyze and report on key manufacturing KPIs, including material usage, production efficiency, and labor utilization.
• Support capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, ROI assessments, and investment appraisals.
• Assist in developing pricing strategies and margin analysis to align with business objectives.
• Provide insights into cost drivers affecting drill rig production and recommend corrective actions.Compliance & Governance
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Maintain accurate financial records and improve financial controls within the manufacturing environment.
Safety and Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with operations, sales, and procurement departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to provide financial perspectives.
