Are you ready to empower people and ensure seamless IT operations? At Epiroc, we’re looking for an End User Support Specialist who is passionate about solving problems, supporting diverse teams, and enabling our business to succeed.
Purpose of the Role
In this role, you will provide efficient support services to our end users across regions, ensuring they can access critical applications and technologies. You’ll be a key part of the IT team, handling support requests, improving workflows, and delivering exceptional service.
What You Would Be Doing
- Ticket Management: Process support tickets for on-site and remote users, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Endpoint Support: Provide reactive and proactive assistance for laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Application Access: Ensure users can access certified applications in line with Epiroc policies.
- Asset Management: Update and manage the asset database for hardware and software.
- Documentation: Create and maintain records related to IT processes and procedures.
- Infrastructure Support: Assist with server, network, and telephony tasks in collaboration with other teams.
- User Education: Advise users on IT best practices, processes, and services, while educating them on available support.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving efficiency and delivering more value to the business.
- Project Management: Lead or support assigned IT projects.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors to address IT needs.
- Team Representation: Act as the face of Epiroc IT, building trust and confidence among users.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 1-2+ years in service desk operations, customer support, or shared service environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of hardware (laptops, desktops, accessories).
- Expertise in Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IT systems like ServiceNow, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Networking basics (IP, LAN, WAN, VPN).
- Mobile device support (Samsung & Apple).
- Knowledge of PC management software (remote support, OS imaging).
- Qualifications:
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Customer-focused and business-oriented.
- Independent, proactive, and organized.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.
- Able to multitask and handle pressure effectively.
