We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Digital Support Engineer to join our growing Field Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of advanced digital technology, heavy machinery and real-world mining operations, offering hands-on experience with cutting-edge digital systems in live production environments.

You will support remote operations and on-site deployments across Australia, working directly with customers and operational teams to ensure our digital solutions deliver accurate, reliable and high-impact outcomes.

The role spans the full lifecycle of CR’s digital products, from commissioning and calibration through to troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement, providing exposure to complex technical challenges and diverse mining environments. You’ll collaborate closely with product engineering, digital operations and customer delivery teams, building strong technical expertise and practical industry experience.

Based out of our Cannon Hill office, this hybrid role includes regular site travel across Australia.

 

About You

You’re a technically minded problem-solver who enjoys working at the intersection of digital systems and heavy industry. You thrive in hands-on environments and are motivated by delivering real outcomes for customers in the field.

 

You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification (Degree, Diploma or Certificate) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Applied Technology or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience providing hands-on technical support for digital and electro-mechanical systems, including calibration, configuration, commissioning and optimisation
  • Exposure to mining, heavy industry or industrial machinery environments (highly regarded)
  • Strong troubleshooting capability, able to investigate faults, system errors and performance issues and drive them through to resolution
  • Experience supporting system deployments, including on-site setup, hardware/software configuration, testing and go-live support
  • A solid understanding of machine systems, kinematics, sensor-derived data, databases and basic networking concepts
  • A customer-focused mindset and experience working directly with site-based stakeholders

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience using support or monitoring tools such as JIRA, Grafana, PowerBI or similar
  • Exposure to basic programming or scripting (C, C++, Python or similar)

 

You’ll also be open to domestic (and occasional international) travel to support deployments and operations. Strong communication skills, collaboration and a proactive, accountable approach are essential in this role.
