We are looking for an inquisitive and detailed-oriented Process Improvement Analyst to join our Analysis and Improvement team where you will work on a wide range of real-world mining data sets, working directly customers turn their data into actionable insights. If you’re passionate about getting hands-on with real world mining applications, crunching data into concrete recommendations, and collaborating with clients on load haul process improvements, we’d love to hear from you. As a Process Improvement Analyst, you’ll be responsible for understanding our customers’ unique situations, developing data analyses, and collaborating with customers to interpret their data and highlight opportunities for improvement. The primary product you’ll be working with is Titan 3330, a payload management system, with the view to expand our offering over time.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, loves switching between office-based data analysis and customer facing work, and doesn’t mind a bit of domestic travel. This role is a mix of hybrid office work (from home and in our Cannon Hill office) and travel to site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging with customers in a highly collaborative and consultative capacity, understanding their onsite requirements and constrains, and critical data into actionable outcomes.    
• Effectively communicating complex data findings to mining clients in a clear manner, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement through comprehensive data analysis.
• Developing customer presentations that effectively communicate data insights and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborating with CR internal Stakeholders to provide data analyses insights to support sales objectives, pre-sales data analysis, support sales presentations and sales demonstrations.
• Developing reports summarising data analysis
• Maintaining accurate documentation of analysis methodologies, datasets and outcomes. 

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

• Experience in data analysis and developing key insights and recommendations that deliver tangible outcomes.  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Specific experience with SQL and Python.
• Ability to travel to customer sites across Australia. 
• Confident in public speaking and presenting to technical customers from the CEO level down.   
• Degree qualified with a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Mining, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Process, Software, Electrical) or Bachelor of Computer Science (Data Science/Data Analytics), or similar   

The following experience would be advantageous but not required:

• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software.
• Mining experience with an understanding of open cut mining specifically truck & shovel/load haul practices. 
• Experience leading and executing improvement initiatives, translating ideas into plans that are feasible and customer focussed.  
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tibco Spotfire. 
• Experience with machine learning libraries eg. Tensorflow, PyTorch.
