Epiroc USA LLC is currently recruiting a Parts and Services Product and Application Specialist for MidLife and Quoting. The Product & Application Specialist will act as a technical and application expert on the products and market segments they serve, primarily supporting the MidLife Rebuild product offering throughout the complete lifecycle while collaborating with the larger Product and Application team. This role involves partnering with Epiroc Product Companies (PC’s) to ensure product availability aligns with customer expectations and promptly communicate current and future customer needs to the PCs.

 

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Personal Protection Equipment may be required in this role. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop machine-specific MidLife quotations through detailed audits and collaboration with appropriate Epiroc Service Centers or Distributor partners.
  • Assist in managing the MidLife Rebuild process at Epiroc Service Centers while ensuring machine quality and profitability standards.
  • Define and communicate product value to the sales force and market for securing premium pricing.
  • Identify and report quality issues, suggest improvements, and reduce warranty-related expenses.
  • Achieve acceptable sales profitability levels within approved pricing discount structures.
  • Assist the sales organization with customer business development and product performance issues.
  • Conduct customer visits, machine audits, training sessions, lead generation activities, shows, conferences, and factory interactions as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical related experience in the mining or construction aftermarket equipment, parts and services field is highly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical/technical background is required for issue resolution & reasoning/discussing “root cause analysis” with customers.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Advanced training in computer aided maintenance systems, reporting, databases, and spreadsheets are preferred.
  • Proficient level skills in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Maintain required US Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates, or complete necessary training programs to acquire and keep up to date with all customer-specific site safety requirements.
  • Preferred location near Epiroc Service Centers or Corporate headquarters, or within a two-hour drive from a US-based International Airport.
  • Domestic and international travel expected, up to 60% primarily within the US.
