Demand Planning Coordinator – PSD

At Epiroc, operational excellence is built on structured planning, reliable data, and strong cross-functional collaboration. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planning Coordinator to lead and standardize the national demand planning process for the Parts & Services Division (PSD) in Mexico.

This role ensures accurate, timely, and traceable forecasts by integrating customer data, equipment population, regional insights, and historical consumption, enabling effective decisions in inventory, service level, and operational execution.

Mission: Coordinate the national Demand Planning process to ensure methodological consistency, data integrity, and alignment between regions, customers, and product lines.

The position plays a key coordination role between Demand Analysts, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Finance, ensuring that forecasts reflect operational reality and support tactical and operational business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning Coordination & Standardization

  • Lead and coordinate the national demand planning cycle for PSD.

  • Define and apply structured forecasting methodologies (historical consumption, operational drivers, equipment population, seasonality, market events).

  • Ensure data quality, traceability, and consistency across regions and product lines.

  • Promote compliance with Epiroc Management System (EMS) standards within the demand planning process.

Analyst Coordination & Governance

  • Coordinate and follow up on Demand Analysts (North and South regions), ensuring compliance with planning calendars and analytical standards.

  • Consolidate, validate, and challenge demand inputs from analysts, sales, and operations.

  • Ensure coherent forecasting assumptions aligned with commercial and operational realities.

Forecast Performance & Inventory Alignment

  • Monitor forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, service level, and deviation analysis.

  • Propose corrective actions and adjustments when performance gaps are identified.

  • Integrate demand forecasts with inventory policies (safety stock, min/max, coverage levels) in collaboration with Inventory Control.

S&OP / IBP Participation

  • Actively participate in S&OP / IBP cycles by preparing analysis, scenarios, and tactical recommendations.

  • Provide structured insights to support management decision-making at tactical and operational levels.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop demand dashboards and reports that provide visibility into market behavior, risks, and opportunities.

  • Ensure integrity and proper system updates of consumption, demand, and equipment population data.

  • Utilize advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (M3, SAP, Oracle or similar) for data consolidation and visualization.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify improvement opportunities in forecasting models and planning processes.

  • Support corporate initiatives related to quality, safety, sustainability, and process standardization.

  • Promote adherence to Epiroc’s Code of Conduct, SHEQ standards, and Sustainability Policy.

Profile Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in demand planning, consumption analysis, supply chain, or inventory management.

  • Experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of forecasting methodologies, deviation analysis, and demand drivers.

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.

  • Experience using Power BI, Power Query, and ERP systems (M3, SAP, Oracle or equivalent).

  • Ability to coordinate analysts and ensure methodological consistency.

  • Engineering or technical background (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems) or relevant experience.

  • English: intermediate level.
