This role is critical to ensuring alignment between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Factory, enabling high service levels, profitability, and working capital optimization within the mining and heavy equipment industry.

Mission:  Lead and govern the national Demand Planning framework, integrating forecasting, operational planning, and inventory strategy into a cohesive, data-driven model.

The role requires strong expertise in operational planning, demand forecasting, and inventory strategy, supported by advanced analytics capabilities (Power BI, Power Query, advanced Excel), ensuring structured execution and decision-making across the organization.

  • Facilitate structured review forums to enable data-driven decision-making and risk visibility.

  • Implement corrective action plans based on deviation analysis.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Integrate planning processes across Sales, Contracts, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance.

  • Ensure plans are executable, realistic, and dynamically adjusted to demand changes or supply constraints.

  • Build collaborative relationships to drive alignment and execution discipline.

Analytics & Planning Excellence

  • Establish standards and best practices for analytical tools and reporting frameworks.

  • Leverage Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Excel to build structured planning dashboards and models.

  • Ensure data quality, reporting consistency, and strong decision-support visibility.

  • Identify structural improvement opportunities in forecasting models and inventory policies.

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop the national planning team (demand planning, inventory, consignments).

  • Define roles, objectives, performance standards, and development plans.

  • Maintain governance ownership while delegating analytical execution.

Profile Requirements

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in demand planning, operational planning, supply chain, or inventory strategy roles.

  • Experience in mining, industrial, or heavy equipment sectors strongly preferred.
