Workshop Manager – P&S Service
At Epiroc, operational excellence and customer satisfaction are driven by strong leadership, safety discipline, and structured execution. We are seeking a results-oriented Workshop Manager to lead the overall performance, efficiency, and profitability of our assigned service workshop operations.
This role ensures safe, high-quality, and cost-effective maintenance, repair, and rebuild of equipment and components, while developing a high-performance culture aligned with Epiroc’s values and service standards.
Mission: Lead and manage the operational performance of assigned service workshop units, ensuring customer satisfaction, service excellence, safety compliance, productivity targets, and expected financial results.
The Workshop Manager is accountable for operational efficiency, financial control, team development, and continuous improvement across workshop and field service activities within the assigned geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership

Plan, organize, and oversee all workshop activities, including repairs, rebuilds, component servicing, and technical interventions (workshop and field).

Ensure all jobs are executed safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, turnaround times, and service availability.

Allocate labor, tools, parts, vehicles, and technical resources effectively to meet service demand.

Coordinate closely with Parts, Service Operations, and Field Teams to ensure execution alignment.
Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with safety (SYSO), environmental, and ISO standards.

Promote a strong safety culture and proactive risk management within the team.

Monitor service KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.

Implement corrective and preventive actions when deviations are identified.
Financial & Commercial Management
-
Own workshop P&L performance and projected profitability targets.

Monitor budgets, cost control, WIP, inventory levels, provisions, and financial forecasts.

Review and validate billing, payment statements, tariff adjustments, and administrative procedures.

Develop and execute tactical annual plans aligned with Service Management strategy.
Strategic & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to mid- and long-term service strategy planning (1–3 years).

Identify operational improvement opportunities in processes, tools, and service offerings.

Suggest service or product innovations in coordination with support areas.

Lead implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
People Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop technicians and support staff.

Manage recruitment, training, promotions, performance evaluations, and succession planning.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and customer service.

Ensure availability of technical training, tools, and operational support resources.
Customer Interaction

Conduct periodic visits to service facilities and customer sites to strengthen relationships.

Identify service improvement opportunities and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Ensure service delivery exceeds customer expectations in safety, quality, and responsiveness.
Profile Requirements
-
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (Execution Engineer, Technical University, IP/CFT) or equivalent technical background.

Solid knowledge in at least three of the following: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, or pneumatic systems.

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar workshop or service management roles.

Experience in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial service environments preferred.

Strong financial and operational management skills.

Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Advance English (desirable).

Health conditions compatible with fieldwork and high-altitude environments.
