Supplier Development Engineer

We are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer to take ownership of supplier performance, capability building, and strategic sourcing support. In this role, you will not only manage audits and qualifications but also act as a trusted technical advisor to our key suppliers, driving continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, environmental performance, and social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities

Supplier Evaluation & Qualification – Establish and execute comprehensive audits (general, process, EHS), collaborate with cross‑functional teams on on‑site assessments, and issue qualification reports in our Supplier Collaboration Portal (SCP) to ensure new suppliers meet our strict entry standards.

Collaborative Development & Sample Management – Partner with production and sourcing during the NPI phase to support material selection, process feasibility, and cost optimisation. Lead prototyping, pilot runs, and TSQP implementation to ensure seamless transitions from sample to mass production.

Supplier Performance Improvement – Conduct regular QCDES (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environment, Social Responsibility) evaluations, design and drive improvement plans for underperforming suppliers, and champion their progress in environmental protection, ethics, and social responsibility.

Enhance Supplier Resilience – Review technical specifications, evaluate process capabilities, and support category managers in supplier selection, localisation, dual‑sourcing, and technology development. Actively identify new suppliers, manufacturing technologies, and cost‑saving opportunities to support CJX’s growth objectives.
What We Are Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Science or Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier development within the manufacturing sector of a foreign‑invested or multinational enterprise.

Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and key process control points within assigned categories.

Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the TSQP (Total Supplier Quality Process) framework.

Computer & Language: Strong command of Microsoft Office suite; good written and spoken English for daily communication with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in machining procurement.

Willingness to travel frequently within China.
