Mission of the role:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Business Line Manager - Rock Drilling Tools and Ground Support (RGD) to lead and grow our business in East and Central Africa, based in Chingola, Zambia. This key leadership role involves driving profitable growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening customer relationships within a dynamic and competitive mining industry landscape. You will be responsible for executing strategic plans that align with Epiroc's company objectives, ensuring operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

 

Your Mission:

 

  • Business Performance and Strategy: Lead revenue growth, profitability, market share, and customer share initiatives across your region. Develop robust business plans that reflect both strategic priorities and local market dynamics. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and operational reviews to meet or exceed financial and performance goals.
  • Market Development and Customer Engagement: Identify new business opportunities and craft strategies to capture key accounts and expand market segments. Collaborate closely with Country Managers and cross-functional teams to align commercial priorities. Build and sustain strong, trust-based customer partnerships, positioning Epiroc as the preferred supplier.
  • Operational and Commercial Excellence: Oversee portfolio management, implement pricing strategies with discipline, maintain accurate forecasting, and optimize inventory management. Continuously monitor operational performance to identify areas for improvement and lead the execution of corrective measures.
  • Leadership and People Management: Inspire, coach, and develop a diverse team to achieve high performance and foster professional growth. Set clear, measurable objectives, elevate team capabilities, and support succession planning to ensure continuity and resilience within your business line. Actively contribute to regional management dialogue and align with broader organizational goals.
  • Governance, Safety, and Compliance: Champion a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, legal requirements, and company policies. Serve as a role model demonstrating Epiroc's values, ethics, and Code of Conduct in all business operations.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in business line management, commercial leadership, technical sales, or related roles within mining, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors.
  • Track record of delivering profitable growth, expanding market share, and enhancing customer engagement across regional or multi-country contexts.
  • Experience leading teams within matrix organizational structures and influencing stakeholders across diverse geographies.
  • Proven expertise in solution selling and business development within technically demanding environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with keen business judgment and strategic thinking skills
  • A customer-centric approach, excelling in building and sustaining meaningful relationships.
  • Analytical mindset, proficient in data-driven decision-making that balances short and long-term business objectives.
  • Deep understanding of surface and underground mining applications, tooling, attachments, and related equipment.
