SHEQ Coordinator

Job Description: 

• Support the development of SHEQ policies and programs.
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.) during pep talk and safety meetings
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures.
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
• Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using PPE)
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes, prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
• Any other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
• Participate in the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Triple Certification Systems:
• Health and Safety of all employees, customers, and contractors as your first priority per ISO 45001:2018 and RA 11058
• Reducing our impact upon the Environment with ISO 14001:2015
• Consistency in Quality service delivery using ISO 9001:2015

Requirements: 

• A graduate in any engineering, geology, metallurgy or chemistry course with at least one (1) year experience in safety work or two (2) years experience in mining operation; or college undergraduate in any engineering, geology, metallurgy or chemistry course with at least two (2) years experience in safety work or 3 years experience in mining operation
• Preferably have undergone BOSH Training
• Must possess leadership skills, proficient in oral and written communications
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
