Position Overview
As the Regional Inbound Supply Manager for South America, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading a new global function within Epiroc's Supply Chain. You will manage and develop the inbound supply team, optimizing supply chain processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in deliveries. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping how we engage with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet and exceed customer expectations in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the Regional Inbound Supply team, ensuring the right organizational structure, competencies, and resources to support internal and external customer needs.
- Drive the change journey to implement new structures and ways of working, including managing interfaces with Customer Centers, Suppliers, and other functional departments.
- Design, develop, and execute inbound supply planning processes that optimize availability, inventory management, and supply chain-related costs.
- Proactively manage supply constraints by collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to enhance accuracy and speed in delivery date feedback to customers.
- Analyze and improve processes, system functionalities, and organizational structures to enhance the precision of delivery date confirmations and overall supply chain performance.
- Support inventory reduction initiatives focusing on maximizing existing stock utilization, enabling effective redistribution, and minimizing lead times across the inbound supply chain.
- Optimize physical inbound flows from suppliers to Global and Regional Distribution Centers, focusing on regional sourcing activities and transportation modes for efficiency and sustainability.
- Build and nurture a strong, inclusive team culture that promotes engagement, leadership development, collaboration, accountability, and diversity.
- Frequent business travel will be a requirement as the main DC is in Santiago, Chile.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a closely related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of extensive experience in global supply chain management, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end supply chain processes including distribution, forecasting, inventory, and supplier management.
- Proven experience in leading teams within multicultural environments and managing change initiatives effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain planning applications, preferably with hands-on experience in Epiroc's systems or equivalent industries.
- Strong capability to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish, capable of working effectively across multiple projects and with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work both operationally and strategically, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term improvements.
