Join Our Team as a High Voltage Field Service Technician!

At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training.

Field Service Technicians provide thorough service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations that result in minimizing downtime, reducing costs or promoting our product capabilities in case of a test or demo. This individual will be responsible for displaying specialized expertise and skill when troubleshooting, repairing and installing parts, as needed to maintain the equipment.  It is expected that this work be executed with a sense of urgency, while not compromising Epiroc’s high quality standards.

 

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Noise protection is required in this role. Field Service Technicians are occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

 

Work Type:

Onsite with up to 50% travel

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work on low, mid, and high voltage AC/DC electrical systems in both field and shop settings, with basic knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance, including start-ups on new and reworked machines.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting either on-site or remotely.
  • Deliver warranty support by evaluating and validating claims, coordinating with Product Company, and submitting service reports.
  • Lead training for distributors and customers on product features, proper equipment operation, and use of consumables; develop customized courses to meet customer needs.
  • Set up and monitor new or improved component testing, tracking related costs and data to ensure completion.
  • Customize solutions to address customer-specific issues and provide stocking guide recommendations.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and Service Manager through service reports, forms, email, and phone, while ensuring professional customer interactions.

 

 

 

Education & Experience

  • Certificate of Completion from a Technical or Trade School, with three years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics, with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands to handle components, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license; a good driving record is required.
  • If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, you must be able to pass all requirements necessary to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for Department of Transportation (DOT) purposes; Employees must be at least 18 years of age to drive commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) within state lines (intrastate) only; Drivers must be at least 21 years old to drive commercial vehicles across state lines (interstate).
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic through prior work experience.
  • Up to 50% travel is required in this position.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $30/hr - $50/hr , depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
