Join Our Team as a R&D Engineer at Epiroc!

Do you live, sleep, and breath machines? Is your idea of a good time tuning an engine, drivetrain, or suspension system? Epiroc seeks someone like you to serve as a key member in the small team of experts who make us the best in the industry. DTH technology puts your interest in turning fluid mechanics and thermodynamics into reciprocating power to work. Your responsibilities will include analysis and design of Epiroc DTH percussive drive systems as well as the mechanical design that provide the reliability to harness that power. 

Position responsibilities:

• Master the Epiroc DTH assortment and continuously learn about competitive products.
• Analyze large datasets to determine technical direction.
• Serve as expert in operation of cycle simulation software.
• Perform CAD component design in Creo/Teamcenter.
• Drive laboratory and field testing of DTH products.
• Complete hammer and bit design changes as requested.

Competences, skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum of 5+ years experience.
• Experience using Creo Parametric CAD software to create solid models and engineering drawings, with some Teamcenter experience preferred.
• Knowledge of structural analysis using manual techniques and/or FEA.
• Good collaboration skills needed to interact with our large global team.

Travel

• As needed to support lab and field testing.
