Join Our Team as a IT Hosting Infrastructure Delivery Specialist at Epiroc!

We are looking for a Hosting Infrastructure Database Delivery Specialist who can implement, manage, and optimize database solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. This person will support our global Hosting Infrastructure team by ensuring secure, stable, and efficient database operations while contributing to documentation, automation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on technical skills, strong troubleshooting ability, and experience working in a multinational IT environment.

Work Type: Hybrid

Shift Timings: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (Flexibility due to global position) 

Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage, and support advanced database solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments to enable global digital transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to the Hosting Infrastructure Database roadmap, ensuring alignment with business needs and global adoption of standards, routines, and guidelines.
• Optimize database performance, cost efficiency, security, and compliance across all Hosting Infrastructure Database platforms.
• Document solutions, processes, and routines to support simplification, standardization, and automation efforts.
• Manage Hosting/Database solutions strategically while also performing hands‑on operational work within the Global Hosting team.
• Handle daily operational tasks, including incident resolution, support ticket management, and implementation of changes and updates.
• Maintain and enforce policies, guidelines, and best practices to ensure stable and secure database operations.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent delivery of world‑class hosting services across Epiroc’s distributed business.
• Adapt responsibilities based on team needs and your technical strengths, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Serve as part of the Epiroc IT Infrastructure Hosting organization

Knowledge/Education:

• Minimum 3 years of education in Hosting/database infrastructure or similar knowledge acquired through work experience.
• Familiarity with various Database solutions, ex editions, versions
• Knowledge or experience in deploying and managing Microsoft SQL Server and features, for example SSIS & SSRS.
• Basic powershell and TSQL knowledge
• Experience with SQL patching, upgrades and database migration
• Windows Clusters & High Availability
• SQL Security & Encryption
• Basic SQL troubleshooting
• Knowledge of SQL maintenance jobs & best practices
• General IT Infrastructure knowledge, with a focus on Hosting, Database.
• Basic understanding of Cloud security and compliance.
• Experience supporting a multinational organization is a plus.
