Join Our Team as Maintenance Utilities at Epiroc!

The Maintenance Utilities position is responsible for supporting facilities personnel with equipment reliability through preventive, corrective, and general maintenance activities. This role is to assist and support the Maintenance Team in performing a variety of maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, facility upkeep, and utility system maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations throughout the facility.

Monday-Thursday, 6 AM-3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist or perform preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on facility equipment and building systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility utility systems, including air, water, plumbing, lighting, and building infrastructure.
• Perform general maintenance and repair of facility structures, doors, walls, floors, ceilings, and office areas.
• Paint columns, walls, floors, parking lots and equipment as needed
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections as needed
• Conduct plumbing repairs including sinks, toilets, water lines, drains, and related fixtures.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Assist with equipment/furniture installation, assembly, relocation, and facility improvement projects.
• Assist with the maintenance of the compressed air distribution systems and identify air leaks or inefficiencies.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret work orders, equipment manuals, drawings, and maintenance instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Detect and report equipment deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and potential maintenance concerns.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and other required documentation.
• Support contractors and vendors performing work on-site as directed.
• Follow all environmental, safety, ISO, and company requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve facility reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education:

• General maintenance practices and procedures.
• Basic mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and facility maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Understanding preventive maintenance principles.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance management systems and work order completion.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance, facilities, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of maintenance, facilities, industrial, or utility maintenance experience required.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. Employees are required to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift 100 pounds or more. The role may also require climbing heights of 4–6 feet using ladders and operating powered industrial trucks to reach elevations of up to 50 feet.
