Join Our Team as a Payroll and HR Administration Manager at Epiroc!

Epiroc’s HR function is on an ambitious transformation journey toward excellence and agility. This role is part of our Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE) for the US and Canada, an HR shared service center supporting more than 2,800 colleagues and growing.

This role is not a maintenance position. It is a build, stabilize, and continuously improve role with meaningful impact on payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee experience.

 

Purpose of the Role

The Payroll & HR Administration Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of Payroll and HR Administration for the US and Canada, including people leadership, service delivery, compliance, and systems ownership. This role owns payroll and time & attendance operations in partnership with our payroll vendor (Dayforce) and serves as the regional owner of SuccessFactors, working closely with the Global HR Systems team in Sweden.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and performance manage the Payroll & HR Administration team in US and Canada
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with business HR representatives and other stakeholders and ensures that high quality services are delivered
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for US and Canada
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll vendors, including Dayforce, overseeing day-to-day payroll and time and attendance administration and ensuring vendor services meet agreed service levels.
  • Own regional SuccessFactors administration, data quality, reporting, and integrations
  • Authorize, review, and process payroll and HR administration transactions, including adjustments and corrections for non-routine wage/salary and funding situations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance by conducting payroll/HR admin reviews, tracking KPIs, identifying training needs, and addressing error-prone processes.
  • Develop and implement payroll and HR administration policies and procedures, coordinate system updates, and deliver training to payroll specialists on processes and applicable state/federal requirements.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, vendors, and federal/state agencies to resolve escalations and non-routine issues, respond to inquiries and complaints, and support audits, compliance, and special cases.
  • Support company initiatives including M&A and system integrations.

 

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Director, Regional Center of Excellence, US/Canada.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 7+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years of people leadership managing a payroll team, within a medium-to-large, complex organization
  • CPP or CPM designation in the US and/or PCP/CPM in Canada preferred
  • Deep knowledge of US payroll regulations; Canadian payroll knowledge strongly preferred
  • Experience with complex payroll topics including garnishments, expatriates, and equity
  • Strong systems background with Dayforce and SuccessFactors experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and presenting to senior stakeholders
