Join Our Team as a Payroll Specialist at Epiroc!

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of multi-state U.S. payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports payroll administration, employee inquiries, payroll reporting, and system maintenance using Dayforce and SAP SuccessFactors.

 

Work Type: Will begin to be onsite and then can be hybrid after settling into the role

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Payroll Administration

  • Laise with HR Business Partners to process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Validate payroll data including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
  • Process payroll adjustments, retroactive pay, off-cycle payrolls, and tax adjustments as needed.
  • Support payroll reconciliations, quarter-end, and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.

 

Systems Administration

  • Maintain employee payroll data in Dayforce and SuccessFactors.
  • Complete secondary steps in employee lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  • Monitor timekeeping records, pay policies, and payroll interfaces.
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

 

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Assist with tax reporting, payroll audits, and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain payroll procedures and audit records.

 

Employee Support

  • Serve as a primary contact for employee payroll questions.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide guidance regarding payroll policies, taxes, deductions, and timekeeping practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of U.S. payroll experience, in a multi-state environment.
  • Experience with Dayforce Payroll and Workforce Management.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or another HRIS preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and deductions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and customer service abilities.
