Our Surface Division—including the complete Surface Drilling and Exploration portfolios—is seeking an experienced and visionary President to lead the design, manufacture, product strategy, sales, and marketing of our full range of equipment, technologies, and aftermarket solutions. This includes rigs, consumables, automation, electrification, connectivity, and autonomous haulage solutions.

About the role

As President of the Surface Division, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, driving sustainable growth, and maintaining Epiroc’s position as a global leader in both Surface Drilling and Exploration solutions. You will oversee 8 production sites in the US, Sweden, India, Canada, South Africa, and China that employ over 2,100 people globally, working closely with our Customer Centers to ensure a world-class and consistent customer experience in every market.

This role is a key position with a direct reporting line to the Equipment & Service Business Area President.

Key responsibilities

• Surface Drilling – Expand our installed base in mining and construction, lead breakthrough automation, electrification, and digital solutions, and keep our product pipeline disciplined and innovative.
• Exploration – Grow market share in rigs, consumables, aftermarket, and technology; align strategies to exploration customer needs; and pursue both organic and acquisition-driven growth.
• Advance bundled selling, strategic account management, and service excellence in partnership with Customer Centers.
• Deliver world-class safety, diversity, and sustainability performance aligned to Epiroc’s 2030 goals.
• You will also oversee select Customer Centers directly, providing legal, labor, and financial oversight while building strong local leadership teams.

Experience and requirements

• Proven international general management success with strong operational, product, and marketing leadership.
• Track record of leading large teams across multiple geographies and functions.
• Experience in Surface Drilling (Rotary, Tophammer, DTH, Coprod) and Exploration (Diamond Core, Reverse Circulation) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in automation, digitalization, and technology-driven business transformation.
• University degree (technical or commercial), fluent English; additional languages an asset.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility, high-impact environment with extensive travel.

Extensive international travel is expected.
