Join Our Team as a Tear Down Disassembler/Welder at Epiroc!
Perform all required welding and assigned disassembly operations on drilling rigs following standard and quality assurance methods and within company safety guidelines.

Shift Timings:
Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disassemble/remove mechanical and hydraulic components and systems and prepare them for the next step in the Production process
- Transportation of disassembled components and systems to the next step in the Production process
- Rigging and lifting of components using a crane
- Weld components using blueprints
- Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, or other written specifications
- Select materials and processes to be applied
- Set up and adjust equipment
- Weld, in vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead positions to make items of various sizes and shapes
- Brazes, flame-cuts, beads, heat treats, pressure, and tack welds
- Use hand and power tools of the welding trade
- When necessary, use templates in measuring, marking, scribing, and cutting
- Address quality defects as per the Production process
- Move rigs/towers from one location to another following appropriate procedures
- Loading drill rigs and corresponding components and systems in preparation for shipment
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assembly area and perform 5S activities
- Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor
- Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify and report safety risks
- Maintain work related records and reports
- Perform other duties as required or directed which may include but not limited to assembly/welding in other Production areas or product detailing

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
- Able to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics
- Knowledge of mechanical components/systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic components/systems
- Knowledge of electrical components/systems
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills including MS Office, ERP Systems, etc.
- Hand and power tools
- Knowledge of welding principles, weld drawings, and safe welding practices
- Knowledge of welding, cutting and grinding tools and their maintenance
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum 0-5 years of experience necessary
- Preferred: 2 years minimum assembly experience
REQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Moderate physical demand in handling materials and tools while performing disassembly and related operations.
- May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Work also involves climbing or working at elevated heights using ladders, forklifts, scissor and snorkel lifts.

The work environment in the mining and construction industries offers unique and interesting challenges not found in other professions.
