The TCO Product Manager owns and drives Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lifecycle value creation, and aftermarket business performance for the global Blasthole Drills Product Portfolio. The role acts as the expert on drill lifecycle economics, helping customers achieve the operating costs targets while increasing machine reliability, availability, and productivity.
Work Type: Hybrid based in Garland, TX. Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the time to support customers and product development activities. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Responsibilities:
Lifecycle Value & TCO Leadership
• Own and drive lifecycle value creation for the global Blasthole Drills portfolio.
• Develop and maintain Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models, lifecycle business cases, and customer value tools.
• Identify and quantify key customer value drivers including availability, reliability, maintenance costs, component life, fuel consumption, and spare parts usage.
• Support Customer Centers during customer discussions, budget evaluations, and tender processes with lifecycle cost and value analysis.
• Benchmark Epiroc products against competitors to ensure competitive operating costs and strong customer value propositions.
• Develop tools and metrics to measure lifecycle value delivered to customers and business value captured by Epiroc.
Lifecycle Business & Aftermarket Growth
• Own lifecycle business performance for the Blasthole Drills portfolio, with focus on:

- Maximized equipment availability and reliability.
- Competitive operating costs.
- Sustainable aftermarket and spare parts growth.
- Improving customer satisfaction and fleet utilization.
• Develop and execute lifecycle strategies that balance customer value, competitive operating costs, and sustainable aftermarket growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle costs, reliability, service offerings, and support processes.
• Drive initiatives that improve component life, maintenance efficiency, machine availability, and customer productivity.
• Monitor lifecycle business performance and recommend actions to improve commercial and operational results.
Design for Aftermarket & Product Development
• Influence Design for Aftermarket activities to ensure serviceability, maintainability, reliability, and lifecycle support requirements are built into new products.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Companies, PSD, and Supply Chain teams to improve lifecycle performance and supportability.
• Ensure service, spare parts, maintenance, and support requirements are considered throughout the New Product Development process.
• Drive lifecycle requirements into product roadmaps via Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) process.
• Represent customer lifecycle needs during product planning and design reviews.
Digital Lifecycle Solutions
• Promote and support connected fleet solutions and digital lifecycle services across the installed base.
• Use machine data and fleet performance insights to identify opportunities to improve uptime, maintenance planning, and operating costs.
• Support development of predictive maintenance and condition-based maintenance strategies.
• Convert field performance data and customer feedback into actionable product and service improvements.
• Collaborate with digital Automation Team to strengthen Epiroc’s lifecycle value proposition.
Lifecycle Extension Programs
• Drive lifecycle extension initiatives that increase customer value and installed base profitability.
• Support and promote programs including:

- Midlife Upgrades.
- Customer Engineering Solutions (CES).
- Retrofit and modernization packages.
• Identify opportunities to extend machine life, improve performance, and reduce operating costs for customers.
• Work with PSD and Customer Centers to increase aftermarket participation and installed base engagement.
New Product Introduction & Customer Success
• Lead lifecycle readiness activities for new product launches and global deployments.
• Work with Product Companies, PSD, and Customer Centers to ensure lifecycle support readiness before customer deliveries.
• Coordinate aftermarket preparation including:

- Spare parts strategy.
- Service tooling readiness.
- Maintenance planning.
- Service capability development.
- Training programs.
• Support first-machine deliveries, pilot installations, and fleet introductions.
• Develop deployment and support plans for customers with limited experience operating Epiroc drills or new product platforms.
Customer Center Support
• Support Customer Centers with:

- Tender responses.
- Lifecycle cost analysis.
- Technical-commercial evaluations.
- Value proposition development.
• Advise customers on maintenance strategies, parts planning, fleet performance, and operational best practices.
• Support regional teams in resolving customer concerns related to operating costs, reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the primary interface between key stakeholders on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lifecycle value creation:

- Surface Division (ADS Product Line)
- Parts & Services Division (PSD)
- Product Companies (Garland PC, Nanjing PC, Nashik PC)
- Supply Chain Organization
- Customer Centers (ADS and PSD)
• Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure lifecycle support, customer value, and aftermarket growth objectives are incorporated into product and business strategies.
Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement
• Gather and analyze customer feedback related to reliability, maintenance costs, component life, and machine availability.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and lifecycle support strategies.
• Recommend product, service, and support improvements that strengthen Epiroc’s competitive position.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing customer operating costs and increasing equipment uptime.
Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Business, or a related field.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in mining equipment, product management, aftermarket support, technical services, or operational roles.
• Strong understanding of surface mining equipment and maintenance practices.
• Experience working with customers and cross-functional global teams.
• Knowledge of lifecycle cost analysis, business case development, and commercial evaluations.
• Experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, and equipment performance improvement.
