Chief Accountant, Liberia

Do you have prior experience with an audit firm or a multinational organization, bringing strong exposure to governance, compliance, and best practice environments? If yes, then we need you to apply. This role is to ensure high quality Accounting to Reporting within the local Customer Centre supported by the Business Controller with focus on reporting and financial analytical support to the operational teams within the business.

Your Mission

• Ensure Accounting to Reporting is compliant with The Epiroc Way and timely Group Reporting
• Responsible for local accounting functions• Support for local statutory, tax reporting and compliance within the legal entity
• Participate in internal, external, tax audits and projects as applicable.
• Be part of a regional finance team and collaborate with the Regional Centre of Excellence.
• Ensure agreed procedures and documentation are maintained and adhered to.
• Advise operations on tax code, compliance and regulations.
• Detect and address potential compliance and internal control issues proactively.
• Collaborate with operational teams to achieve shared goals.
• Respond and support on accounting and report inquiries from operations in a timely manner.

Your Profile:

• Relevant University degree in Accountancy -Minimum
• Qualified Professional Accountant will be an advantage• Solid Accounting experience, including previous experience in a Senior Accountant role required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in working in a multinational organization will be an advantage.
• Fluency in English is a key requirement.
• Good legal statutory knowledge and experience is required.
• Strong Knowledge and experience in Liberia's legal, statutory accounting and tax reporting are requirements.
• Experience in working with BPCS, SAP BW, ECS, SharePoint and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge will be an advantage.
