Chief Accountant for Liberia

You'll play a pivotal role in providing essential financial analytical support to our operational teams, working closely with the Business Controller.

Your contribution

As our Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance: Oversee all accounting and reporting to ensure it adheres to "The Epiroc Way" and timely Group Reporting requirements.
• Managing local accounting: Take ownership of all local accounting functions.
• Supporting statutory and tax compliance: Assist with local statutory and tax reporting and ensure legal entity compliance.
• Participating in audits and projects: Actively participate in internal, external, and tax audits, as well as relevant projects.
• Collaborating regionally: Work as part of a dynamic regional finance team and collaborate closely with the Regional Centre of Excellence.
• Maintaining procedures: Ensure all agreed-upon accounting procedures and documentation are maintained and strictly followed.
• Advising on tax matters: Provide expert advice to operations on tax codes, compliance, and regulations.
• Proactive issue resolution: Identify and address potential compliance and internal control issues before they escalate.
• Driving shared goals: Collaborate effectively with operational teams to achieve common objectives.
• Prompt support: Respond to and support accounting and reporting inquiries from operations in a timely and efficient manner.
