Main Responsibilities
To ensure that the future direction of the companies, expressed in strategies, goals and targets, are reflected in the planning process for the region.
To ensure that the regional management has well documented action plans to support the strategy and that plans for corrective actions exist if there are deviations from agreed plans.
To ensure that leading business indicators and highlights/red flags are produced to support management in steering the business. Furthermore to closely follow up the development of the companies in the region versus trends and analyse deviations from agreed plans.
To initiate and run benchmarking and leading practice projects in order to learn from others and improve processes in the region.
To participate in various projects and internal audits within Epiroc.
To secure that solid asset management procedures are in place, safeguarding that the region operates with a minimum of capital tied up.
To safeguard that the accounting is in accordance with the local statutory accounting practices in each country in the region and that monthly and quarterly group reports are correct, complete and on time.
To make sure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors get necessary support in the region.
To analyse, report and suggest improvements in the way we work in collaboration with the business and the Regional Centre of Excellence
Maintaining relationships with banks, financial institutions and authorities within the region where relevant
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the Business Control role for the Customer Center in the country where they are based.
Will carry out any other function or duty as may be required in terms of “The Epiroc Way”.
Educational Requirements, Experience and Skills
Chartered Accountant is required. Post Grad qualification in Management will be advantageous
Broad experience of accounting and finance in multinational companies
Leading without formal authority
Very good command of English
Finance & Administration process understanding & proven Accounting knowledge
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of ERP systems like BPCS, Infor M3.
Official training and experience in project management a plus
Drives change and energy through collaboration and development
Proactive looking for improvements from an end-2-end perspective
Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
People management potential; Very good communication skills and ability to interact
effectively with all company departments, with other Group colleagues and with third parties
Ability to create and run good relationship within the company and with customers

Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
