Spectral Geologist

We are looking for a Spectral Geologist to support the processing, interpretation, and integration of hyperspectral data applied to geological samples. This role plays a key part in advancing mineralogical understanding and enhancing exploration workflows through cutting-edge spectral technologies.

This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced datasets, contribute to innovative methodologies, and collaborate with global teams focused on transforming geological data into actionable insights.

Your Mission

As a Spectral Geologist, you will be responsible for processing and interpreting hyperspectral data from drill core and geological samples, supporting the development of mineralogical models, and contributing to continuous improvement of spectral analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and interpret hyperspectral data from drill core and geological samples
  • Develop and enhance spectral and mineralogical processing capabilities
  • Generate mineralogical maps, images, and technical reports
  • Execute workflows including data collection, quality control, and data processing
  • Prepare progress reports and client presentations
  • Collaborate with geology teams to improve spectral interpretation and mineral deposit understanding
  • Communicate findings and results with internal and external stakeholders
  • Integrate spectral data into third-party software such as Leapfrog, ioGas, and acQuire
  • Upload and manage data within digital platforms such as Coreshed

Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience in hyperspectral data interpretation
  • Knowledge of ore deposits and mineral systems
  • Experience with geological software (Leapfrog, ioGas, acQuire is a plus)
  • English advanced level
