 Job Description - Senior Engineer

Job Responsibilities & tasks

  • Maintain Safety Health, Quality and Environmental Culture and Lead and develop a safe, effective, motivated, and productive team.
  • Generate Weekly, Monthly, and 3 monthly forecasts and plans so alignment with understanding can be maintained.
  • Achieving the Contract KPI and enhance customer centric actions
  • Manage equipment maintenance plans/ Supervision and supply follow-up with review for non-conformance to plan with reasons and actions for misalignment to be rectified.
  • Development of people through training on and off the job.
  • Create a succession planning strategy for future security and prosperity using tools such as performance evaluations.
  • Build and maintain proactive & and productive internal and external relationships.
  • Continually ensuring that the service delivered is in alignment with the contract and EPIROC guidelines as detailed in project contract.

  • Enter equipment hours daily and updating contract software data regularly
  • Correct Measuring points - change out hour meter readings.
  • Scoping Resources (personnel, cranes, timeframe) correctly for each job with details, parts etc.
  • Scheduled PM Non-conformance reporting
  • MSR (Warranty) Forms
  • Weekly, Monthly Report - collation of information for planning Gantt chart
  • Daily Shift Maintenance Report.
  • Schedule Component change-outs & PM schedule jobs compliance.

Competences, skills and experience

  • Bachelor / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Min 5yrs planning experience with Underground Equipment maintenance  and operation
  • Experience on LHD and LPDTs is a must
  • Hands on experience on Subassembly repairs like Axle, Transmission, Cylinders etc.,
  • Implementation of proactive and predictive maintenance
  • Ability to train and demo the maintenance activities
  • Support in parts planning and good in condition-based Monitoring

 Competencies requirement.

  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
  • Sound report writing skills.
  • Fixing defective or broken products or ordering the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts.
  • Understanding equipment reliability and availability requirements and implications
  • Ability to perform Pareto analysis
